Christopher Valentine Sr.

Christopher Valentine Sr. is an artist that draws portraits, illustrations, graphic designs, and creates short 2d animations for multiple clients. One of those clients is a young successful hip-hop artist name Re:Zen who creates music through E-World Multimedia.

In my earlier years of life, I found myself watching my father and mother draw. My dad was into drafting, and he loved drawing and working on hot rods; on the other hand my mother sketched fashion models with flowing dresses and reading novels by the ton. Watching both of my parents influenced me to become an artist now the question was where would my pencil fall. After seeing cartoons like RoboTech, Thunder Cats, Transformers the Movie (the old cartoon version), Sword in the Stone,  The Lion King, Lilo and Stitch, The Prince of Egypt, How to Train Your Dragon, and the countless hour looking at the drawings in comic books I fell in love with drawing portraits, illustration and animation. I’ve always wanted to draw pictures, create movies and illustrate stories through my artwork. That love pushed me toward getting my BFA in Graphic Design from UT in Arlington and becoming an art teacher; which I have been doing for the past 16 years.  Next I decided to go back to college to earn my Master of Arts in 2d Animation from the Academy of Art University. During these years I have gained experience in designing background scenes and pictures for Christmas, black history programs, and any teacher training event that needed illustrations to go with them. I really enjoy showing young students from elementary to the junior college level how to unlock and develop their talents and skills in art.  Some of the artist that inspire me are Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo,  Aaron Blaise, Chris Sanders, Michael Buffington, and Armand Serrano.
